SFO Long Term Parking Garage No. 2 Wins ENR California’s Best Project Award

We are excited to announce that the SFO Long Term Parking Garage No. 2 received ENR California’s 2019 Regional Best Project North Award!

As part of a joint venture, FMG provided architectural design for this design-build project. The garage features net-zero energy consumption via the use of photovoltaic panels and will be a certified green Parksmart garage.

The entries were divided into two regions: Northern California and Southern California. ENR California assembled a group of judges, with varying specialties and expertise in the construction industry, to review, score and form a panel. Judges independently reviewed and scored all of the entries on pre-specified criteria and convened with fellow judges to compare impressions and scores.

Together, the judges’ panels selected honorees for Best Project and Merit awards.

All winning project teams for Northern California will be celebrated on Oct. 8, 2019 in San Francisco at the Julia Morgan Ballroom.

HNTB+FMG Gives Back: Earth Day Event

On April 20th, the HNTB+FMG Joint Venture, including many of our local teaming partners, teamed up with staff from the City of Oakland and the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation for an Earth Day event at the Ira Jinkins Recreation Center in East Oakland. The center puts on valuable programs and activities for the local community, and we are excited to lend a hand with important and much needed support, such as painting inside and outside the center, gardening and weeding, and litter collection and graffiti abatement.

The HNTB+FMG Joint Venture currently supports BART in delivering Architectural and General Engineering Services throughout their system. The JV was formed between HNTB and FMG to promote inclusion and mentorship between large and small businesses. As a team, we are committed to finding ways to benefit the communities that we live, work, and play in – through both the projects we deliver and stewardship activities such as these.
