San Francisco International Airport’s (SFO) Long Term Parking Garage No. 2 is a 6-story, 3,600-stall parking structure that addresses SFO’s growing ridership and increasing need for long-term parking. FMG in a joint venture with DLR (formerly KH), worked closely with the design-build team co-locating at the airport to facilitate a seamless design approach. The new world-class structure maximizes the triangular geometry of the site and integrates technological innovation with advanced wayfinding systems and infrastructure for future EV charging. The garage is certified as a green Parksmart garage and achieved net-zero energy consumption via the use of photovoltaic panels and other sustainability features.
